Logistics / IT Supervisor : IRC

Logistics / IT Supervisor
Location: Mae Hong Son province
Reports to: Deputy Field Coordinator, Operations

Responsibilities:
The Logistics Supervisor provides day-to-day supervision and guidance to MHS Logistics staff in the management of systems and services to support the MHS Field Office and staff. Primary tasks and responsibilities involve oversight and control logistics systems and services (transportation, procurement, IT, maintenance, inventory and asset management), with secondary roles in mentoring and training logistics team members and other program staff, and coordinating with other departments to improve.

  • Manage IRC MHS transportation systems and travel services including camp trips and visits in/out of Thailand for all IRC staff and visitors as requested through IRC logistic procedures.
  • Coach the Lead Driver in taking responsibility for all vehicle-related issues including vehicle scheduling, daily vehicle movements, maintenance, supervision of drivers, airport drop-offs, accidents, etc.
  • Strictly control the MHS procurement process following the IRC policies and procedures, including training staff and proactively seeking solutions to recurring problems as and when required.
  • Coordinate working relations between the MHS Pharmacy Supervisor, MHS Pharmacy Officer, MHS Finance team and BKK Logistics in the ordering/receiving/distributing and inventory checking of drug and medical supplies on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure efficient and optimal utilization of IT network services, telephone and radio systems to meet IRC MHS staff requirements; duties also include maintenance of the systems and the provision of training on their utilisation.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repairs and refurbishment of IRC premises and their grounds.
  • Identify suitable and reasonably-priced rental properties for new international and national staff; facilitate relocation and identify alternative properties for those staff which are required to move.
  • Assist the AHRM to ensure the MHS office and grounds are well maintained and secure at all times.
  • Logistically support meetings and workshops in MHS as and when required, i.e., senior management and strategic planning meetings, team tours etc
  • Set up and implement a system to monitor and evaluate logistics activities.
  • Implement the PMS for all employees, completing six-monthly and yearly performance evaluations for all supervisees.
  • Represent IRC positively and professionally in both internal and external relations and situations.
  • Perform other duties, as appropriate or requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Higher degree in management and IT
  • Experience in logistics management
  • Ability to develop and carry out short trainings
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel and Microsoft Office family)
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Good time management and task prioritization skills
